Since 1985 Krea, in addition to publishing the magazine Sikania every month, has produced brochure, booklets, books and other things useful to the promotion of Sicily in the world, an activity that ensures it renown that is certainly not only national. All this activity is carried out by a technical and organizational staff consisting of high-level professional people, like photographers and journalists, graphics people and translators, with a team that, though each maintaining their own professional identity, interact in harmony not only inside the publishing structure but also in relation to clients. The ability to satisfy every request, curiosity about new computer technologies, imagination in seeking graphics solutions and seriousness in the publishing sector are the qualities that make Krea exactly what its name promises: the right solution for every need. Krea’s publications have the objective of promoting Sicily from all point of view – its places, its traditions, its oenology and gastronomy, its nature, its culture and all of its archaeological, museum, historical and cultural heritage. There are books, volumes, brochures and tourist guides, but also amusing dictionaries on the gestures of Sicilians, as well as history and nature publications to tell people about the thousand faces of this Mediterranean island.

OUR PUBLICATIONS:

Sikania

A monthly magazine about culture and tourism in Sicily, it is 22 years old. Each issue is a volume to be collected and to be consulted again and again – as is shown by the continual requests for back issues. The articles on the historical-cultural reality of our island, the trekking itineraries, the dates with folklore and the information on the tourist structures are always up-to-date. Sikania, a bilingual monthly (Italian and English), is an important container of news today, useful to those who love visiting Sicily and an instrument for study and research.

Vinando, travelling with wine in Sicily

The first volume of a series of oenological and gastronomic itineraries in Sicily. A practical guide with carefully described itineraries that connect together some of the most important wine production centres in Sicily. Accompanied by a large quantity of useful and curious pieces of information, suggestions about restaurants, folk feasts, monuments etc.

A. Pomar - The cheese routes in Sicily

The second volume of the series of itineraries on oenology and gastronomy in Sicily – this time in the search for the historic cheeses on the island. Like the first one, it is rich in historical-cultural news and suggestions about where to eat and sleep.

Fabio Oliveri - Otama From the Rising Sun to the Island of Sun

Fabio Oliveri - The Sicilian Gestures

This dictionary is devoted both to those people that understand and use Sicilian gestures and to those people that neither understand nor use them. From the drawings the latter might feel induced to study the gestures “live”, carefully observing the hands and eyes of Sicilians.

Travelling with Neptune - A guide to Responsible Tourism in Sicily

A guide to responsible tourism, a pleasant vade mecum to see what it is possible to look at, so to speak “live”, in a journey in Sicily beginning at Acitrezza, among the rock-stacks and prehistory, among the legends of fishermen and the plumes of Etna, among the wonders hidden under the water’s surface and those that are preserved intact on Lachea Island.

Guide to Alternative Tourism in Sicily II

The second edition of the Guide to Alternative Tourism in Sicily, with new itineraries, devoted to all those that love “different” tourism, with a list of holiday farms and alternative accommodation structures.

Vittorio Lo Jacono - Incas: Myths, Genesis, Topicality

Devoted to one of the great cultures of Latin America, the book by Vittorio Lo Jacono deals with the greatness of the Inca people and their history, with an important account of the betrayal by the invaders and the latter’s unkept promises. The analysis of the origins, the history and the end is also followed by an examination of the present situation.

Franco Barbagallo - Guide to Alternative Tourism in Sicily III

Rosalinda Camarda / Giovanni Crivello - Behind the curtain

It is an act of love towards the children of Agostino Catalano, a tribute to the courage of a man that frantic life hid in the shadow of shattered myths, perhaps, to create new paths. It is a book that aims to materialize certain values that do not belong to the chronicle of events but to timeless feelings of characters that are unjustly forgotten martyrs.
